When Technology is Just Fun…

Posted by Stacey on Thursday, October 8th, 2009

Yesterday I flew into John Wayne Airport and while waiting to collect my luggage, noticed this nifty fish tank on the wall:

This is the first time I’ve seen this technology outside of my iPhone Koi Pond application (I was blown away by it there as well).  The Koi Pond application is touch sensitive…I think the technology at the airport was detecting the movement of my body from the screen projecting the pond image (vs. the touch of my hand to the screen).  Certainly the results are still fun.  Not sure exactly how this technology can relate to real estate (any ideas?), but it is still really cool, and it is “first sightings” like this that continue to endear me to technology.  I can tell you I wasn’t the only one..more than a few kids (an adults alike) were attracted to the fish tank on the wall at John Wayne Airport.  Be sure to check it out next time you are there.  And if you know who did this, can you please let me know?!  I love the creative technical minds that come up with this kind of stuff and would be interested to hear more about what else can be done with this technology!

Dude…. That is COOL!

I am so making a trip to baggage claim just to touch the screen.
