User Interface (UI) and Process Suggestions for Moo.com
I am a huge fan of Moo.com products. They have one of the most innovative business cards I’ve ever seen. I may even go so far as to say I am a raving fanatic (@robhahn – I’m a 10 on the NPS scale for Moo). However, there are several details in the order process and user interface which are very frustrating, and in order for my love-fest with Moo to continue, I feel I must express.
- I can’t “save an order” for working on at a later time. It is quite a creative process to make Moo.com cards and products. It is something I like to put a lot of thought into. I like to try things out, then see how it looks, then think about it, then maybe go back in and change it. The process can take some time. And I am busy. I’m often called away from the computer to put a fire out. There is no ability for me to come back to my Moo.com order creation process and pick up where I left off. I wish there was this choice…even if it only held my order for 48 hours or so.
- I can’t edit my order from the check out cart. Referencing the screen shot below – During the check out process, you do not have the opportunity to edit your order…but you can once you’ve place the order (“You can edit your orders up to 2 hours later”)? This just doesn’t make sense. I just placed an order for two separate packs of mini moo cards. Both orders have my URL on them. On the first order, I typed the url as “harmonenterprises.com”. During the process of creating the 2nd order, I decided I would prefer to have my url read “www.harmonenterprises.com”. Because I had already added my first order to the cart, I wanted to go back and modify it. There is no option to do so. I had to place the order, then go back and edit it. Seems like there is room for improvement there.

- I can’t tell the difference between my Mini Moo orders in my cart. Again referencing the screenprint above – I placed two orders for Mini Moo cards at the same time. But, I can’t tell which order is which as they both have the exact same description. Which order is the one that has photos on it? Which one has text on it? How do I know which order to edit (which is an option up to two hours after purchase)? Some kind of indicator (maybe a visual representation of one of my cards, or a unique name I can give to the order, or some text that I used in my order) displayed on the item would be helpful.
- I’d like to see US standard size business cards added to the product line. (not a UI or process request, but a product I would order if they had it!)
There. I feel much better now. Thanks for listening. It would be so lovely if my thoughts weren’t falling of deaf ears. Here’s hoping for a continuing love affair with Moo.com.

Hi Stacey,
Thanks very much for taking the time to write this post – we do read the feedback we get, and I promise we take it all into account.
I’m not sure if you’ve ever made Business Cards with us (rather than MiniCards) but we’ve implemented various things that would solve your first three points above. We’re hoping to add this soon for MiniCards too. We do know how frustrating it can be :)
Regarding the 4th point, this is also something we’ve thought about but are not able to do just yet. Having said, that – never say never!
Thanks again for your well thought out comments. Much appreciated.
